Bring back bf2

Since players BARELY play in Dawn Of The Dead (DOTD), we should change that mod to BF2 instead!

Atleast we'd have people playing on BF2 or a Pub server instead of DotD.

Well, the whole reason bf2 went down is because we had problems with csdm and the flags not working correctly. Perhaps I can look into it again.

two problems

1) The reason BF2 got down in the first place was because of the csdm and the flag problems like Anon said, but also because nobody played it. It was always just bots having fun.

2) If we do bring it back, who's going to work on it. If we leave it the way it is, then no one would play the old server...

That was the ENTIRE IDEA behind my pub... but how many people ever played? And how many people just bitched about "OMFG THERES BOTS TAKE EM OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111111oneoneoneone1" So the server was dead. I'm not /rage here but just pointing out the fact that that's why we spent the money in the first place because EVERYONE wanted a pub SOOOOO BADDDDD and how many people really played on it? (Granted, there was I think three people I can think of that dropped in) but other than that?

Also, the bots discouraged me in a way that like, the bots were in there generally, it's just they prefired/wrecked me too hard with the hacks. Maybe if you lowered the difficulty BUT improved the waypoints of which way they traveled (if you can do that), and put 3 bots on each team. I'm fine with that.

I bet you people didn't play on there because lets say 20 people in PCSHOP really wanted the pub server, spread that 20 people out through 24 hours. Unless people actually pm'd eachother to say "hey! lets play pub" I bet you this is how it went: 1person/hour.

Why don't we do a test run; Ask tirant to switch his DotD files on his test server for a pub or bf2 server for about 3 days. See if people like it, If no one plays there, well....I guess the matter has been solved.

it was the most prosperous server in pcshop but it got played out and boring and when we started hov and used bf2 it made tirant not want to

Well, if we still had sytreme, I'm sure him and tirant could work miracles, but alas, we don't. My specialty has always been boosting morale and graphics...

The problem was we got a server and "waited for it to become popular".

We need a server that we can populate by doing what I used to do with others and Jailbreak this time last year. I'd log on and if it had 1-2 people in it I would PM absolutely everyone I knew and say just "JB NOW"... I'm sure those that played remember.

Servers don't just become popular... you need people to play in them. We have so many people here in PCSHOP and guess what they're full of teenage angst for a change in servers. I just hope once we make some change or other everyone will practice the devotion they're preaching.
