Map Voting In Game

thoughts on a rtv system??? (rock the vote)
also a nomination system to go with it???

i like the idea of nominations, but not so much rtv. If the map were to get ended early, that'd make players not get their medals (gold, silver, bronze). (I think that was worded correctly, grammarwise.)

Well can you give medals to the people who are in the lead at the time that the map gets rocked?

yea...just give medal whenever map ends
cuz the rtv part is important because sometimes u get stuck with a bad map that was chosen b4 by some random ppl who left

now imagine a couple of guys that are really close to each other, 1 flag cap away.one guy gets gold and gets others to rtv.wouldnt be fair for the 2nd and 3rd dude.
im all for the nomination idea. but the rtving could get 'abused'

That kind of abuse is very hard to synergize. I understand the potential but it doesn't seem like a real issue.

I guess I've missed this topic until today. We can add nominations, but I think rtv would cause people to lose medals. I would need to test it out, and confirm with Sytreme. More to come.

i thought we mentioned this before, we couldnt do this because it would lag too much?
thats what i remember when this topic was brought up before

ehh im not a fan of rtv...ppl would be changing constantly...when there map vote didnt win.

no but rtv basically needs the majority of the people (i think like 80% of the ppl?)
so if it needs majority....unless ppl from the other team also rtv it cant change!

That is not entirely true Wazo.O, I have been playing in a server and one person Rocked it, and it started a vote. Not sure why that happened, but there was about 15 of us in the server.

I think just nominations would be great. And instead of RTV, would it be possible to create a mod to vote how long a map plays for, so if a map that many players are not interested in comes up, they can vote for a certain time limit on the map so it changes quicker and doesn't affect medals and what not. The vote can come up at the beginning of each game. It would add a little bit more interaction with the players in the server so they have some involvement with the experience.

i've had bad experience with RTV...too many people wanting to change the map right when it gets started

Yup, so some maps end up getting played for 5 - 10 minutes and then get switched and gives no one time to get their medals.

i have a friend who just started playing ingame name yizzo and he complains alot about lost badges on map ends...

well...then just edit the plugin so that it has different requirements
i used to play on a server that required everyone to rtv except for 1 guy

any thoughts on rtv/nominations system??????
some ppl complaining about not being able to choose map

I vouch for this idea, some people in the servers were complaining about not being able to nominate maps during the game.

no.... as in the nominations system and then at the end of the map instead of a random list to choose from....its the maps that people have nominated
but so that the same couple of maps dont get replayed constantly...u cant nominate a map thats been played within the last 3 maps
we desperately need this iceworld and snow keep getting recycled.....

the losing team will probably RTV almost everytime. ADD NOMINATE do not add RTV.
