Praise Almighty God
Those who don't believe in God just don't realize that He has a good sense of humor.

^This.
Not to mention about 98% of those are completely wrong, irrelevant, or taken out of context.
I actually almost deleted this topic and am still thinking about it.
Ignorance is bliss eh?

I think this accurately describes how Anon and Sirv were feeling when they saw the thread.

see sig.
Anyway, religion remains one of my most favorite topics to discuss (which I can do amiably without insulting someone). If someone would like to start a conversation in any way related, I'd partake.

I can debate for days about religion...but I'd probably offend anyone who possessed any reverence for a monotheistic or polytheistic faith.

Re: Praise Almighty God
amateur graphic artists and their poor attempts at humor, pathetic.
Know here's something interesting, but don't think it's all correct/true. Nothing is all correct. Read between the lines and know there's truth in every lie.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNf-P_5u_Hw

i gave up making excuses for christianity after i read ecclastisies.. when the bible says stone women who have sex before marriage and legit MEANS kill them i was done. plus untill the church stops giving sexual predatorial priests get out of jail free cards, and stop demonizing gays, ill be the first one in the vatican chanting at the old man in protest.

Re: Praise Almighty God
I spent some time like 5 years ago on an atheist site's forums. It's whywontgodhealamputees.com or something (they say it's the most important question you can ask of god)... whatever.
The forum actually had a lot of really good, controlled discussion from all sides of the table. One of my favorite topics was something along the lines of "Why are you atheist?"
#1 answer: "I read the Bible"

Re: Praise Almighty God
Sadly if religious leaders of the past two millenia agreed with you, you probably wouldn't be saying that.
The thing is, most people in our generation(s) believe that as well, which I consider huge progress. Honest and open discussion only helps and does not hinder.
As an aside: more han one person has found the need to say "BTW I respect you guys and still love you xoxooxx <3" when discussing this topic. I haven't because it is clearly implied and I hope you all understand that I do still  . For no other argument does anyone find that disclaimer to be necessary... but here it is for some reason.
