I figure this is probably the most watched topic right now, so I'll say this here... I really want this new mod to succeed. I think we all do actually. If we want this mod to do well, then you (the pcshop members) need to play it a lot to try and draw some players. Soon, I will be shutting down the mw2 mod and making it a redirect to the battlefield mod. Believe me when say this, I love the MW2 mod, I've put many hours of works into it. Every part of it is amazing. However, it is unrealistic to run two mods of essentially the same thing, and expect them both to do well. Some of you might be complaining about how the MW2 already does well and that Battlefield is new and will not, but I disagree. While a solid mod, MW2 lacks many fixes and has many issues due to its immense size. Battlefield was basically my excuse to recode all of it and fix those, while making it a new mod with all the fixes. Around midday, MW2 has around 12 players, and Battlefield has roughly the same. I believe changing and pushing the MW2 population into Battlefield will little under double the population of that server, and then as time goes on, hopefully draw even more. The ideology with all of this is that you need players do get players. I'm sick of running up to 12 bots on the servers, I'd rather have one server go great and then branch off of that, then continue at this sluggish pace. If all of this happens, I would like to delay it until I have the Battlefield mod more completed, so that MW2 people don't feel completely robbed (some of them will be pissed I know, but it's necessary I believe).

Perhaps subscriber benefits for a month for those that have prestiged in mw2 if they get really rowdy but it's for the best.

In the next week people should play BF2 when they can and also other servers, make new friends, and tell them about the new mod. Tirant have you been advertising on alliedmodders?

I don't mind if CoD goes byebye, I got four gun menus to choose from, that's three more than I know what to do with.

Oh ya, Tirant, do you think you can enable spectator? Right now it says it's disabled. Although I think I got a decent demo of a guy named nrot, it's only from my perspective. Also, I know you said you'd add more maps as it got more popular, but even when it was in beta there were complaints of not enough maps, and that's how it is now. If you could add on some of the standard maps like, Aztec, Dust, Inferno, Nuke, I'd appreciate it.

I would like to try and find someone else to help me add maps and server addons. If I could find someone I trust to do that who plays the server and actually updates the mapcycle, I would be VERY happy. I'm not saying anything on alliedmodders. Alliedmodders has become just a group of selfish cheap people. Well, most of the people I should say, I respect most of the coders there. Saying something would just make them cry to me about posting it. Trust me, it's another reason why I dont like BB as much. The community (not the coders) just whine all the time.

I've been wanting to add a few things / maps etc. But I figured I better not since it's all still pretty new. Didn't want to foul things up / add more possible variables then there already was.

But if ur comfortable with it I'll do it np.

Ya, if your up for it, do it. Do not use the on server flags editor though. It freezes the server practically immediately. Very frustrating.... If you want to add in more mods and stuff, just ask or tell me what you change so I don't freak out when something is different.

I'll find the two of you on steam when I'm free and help out as well.

About allied modders... even if you just posted that it exists it wouldn't help bring in people? I could post it as a third party and say I had nothing to do with the coding and give a disclaimer that I can't help with any issues... in fact they could come to our site...

Hey Anon, if you could, add maps like Inferno, Nuke, Aztec, Dust, Westwood, into the rotation because I think the 5 maps right now may have worn people down from wanting to play them again. I don't like westwood but it was popular, and everyone wanted to be on T. Hopefully you won't have to add flags and all that. But if you could do that, I think a number of people would appreciate it, including myself.

yes, please add more maps, what about awp_rooftops, people loved that map as well

I was naming maps that at the very least have bot wp's already, like maybe Italy or Cbble, so Anon may just have to only add flags. But ya, awp_rooftops did well. fy_rambohulk, fy_encounter, de_dust2002, de_samurai, fy_springfield, de_walmart, cs_mcdonalds, amongst others that the BF2 server used to have.

Problem is, gotta add the wps for bots otherwise, well... we won't have them on those maps. It just takes a bit longer.

Damn, I thought if you just added the maps, there would be wps already for those standard maps. Can you take the ones from the CoD server, or were you talking about something else? Anyway, thanks for getting onto it.
