I didn't think it would happen but the important thing is we got 46%... over 3 million people voted for legalizing marijuana for recreational use.
It's becoming a serious issue and that's always a good thing.

I think legalizing marijuana would've helped us with our economy. I mean.. it's just a plant when you think about it (hemp) and it would definitely replace pain killers wouldnt it? Well, those are just some of the points my gov't teacher pointed out haha. Sounds logical.

I've never seen anyone do anything irresponsible when they're high.
I see people do irresponsible things every day after they drink.

I'm with you on that one - it's probably the worst argument out there.

The only real argument is that people might smoke and drive, and there is no way of quickly determining whether a person is high or not, like you can with a alcohol (breathalizer). Even if they test a person and he comes up positive, that could mean he smoked sometime that month. Regulating high driving is an issue.

This is the only rational argument I've ever heard against marijuana, but then what about every drug on the market that says "don't operate machinery after use" or "don't drive after taking this bullshit". Clearly they should be illegal because people might use it and then drive.

Agreed. I don't smoke, but if it's a controlled substance, who cares? The other problem is they're going to pull over anyone smoking a cig on the road thinking it's pot, and there may be an increase in high-driving accidents because people like me might try it and not know what's going on and think I'm fine lol... The weed noobs would kill people by accident haha!

What's up guys, sorry for the long delay. Sadly you guys are going to be pissed off that I voted "NO" on proposition 19. Now, the reason I voted no is because they stated that the law will "regulate" the constant flow of marijuana sales with special taxes. What they did not state in the bill is where they were going to get the product from after the bill passes. Right now, the law is if you are a card holder you can get your supply of marijuana from anyone who also holds a medical marijuana card. Prop. 19 proposed that it is illegal to buy from other card users. With that being said, that blocks out the supply to EVERYONE who goes to the clinics. First, the government doesn't actually supply, or grow any marijuana at the medical clinics where you can buy. Second, each card user who is given the right to 36 TOTAL plants and 24 FLOWERING plants legally in their homes(San Diego county, prop. 420). Third, Fellow card members make and grow the product, so that other medical marijuana patients in the area can medicate themselves. To conclude this response, the government will have to be more specific about the details in the next bill. After that, maybe I will think about voting "yes."

Next Friday we are playing a show in downtown San Diego where we will conclude our filming for the music video. Also, in January we are going to record two cd's. One is called "For Now" and the other is called "for Later." We will be working at http://www.signaturesound.com with producer Allen Sanderson, who recorded the ROLLING STONES newest album. You should check out the studio, it's state of the art. Some major label bands that have recorded there are : Blink 182, Akon, T-pain, Jewel, U2, The Used, Switchfoot, P.O.D. , Boxcar Racer, etc. Hopefully we go big with this band, we've been getting 200-300 friend requests a day on myspace and hella people are listening and coming out to the shows.

yeah it's funny. all my friends said, "if people like you got out and voted" no cause i would have voted no. Seems like a bad idea. Especially when every week you go to buy an 18 pack and its 20 cents more. Each gram will start being like 2 dollars more every time. Remember when california started taxing cigarettes and a bunch of people quit? Same deal. Be ready for 60$ grams.

Today at 12:30 I'm going to take a tour of the studio with my band and Allen Sanderson. You guys should check him out, he recorded the rolling stones after he helped them build their studio. He's the guy producing our new album "For Now." I'm watching football pregame shows right now, the games aren't on for another hour! lol 3ther your forum status is "RAWR!"
