Using Racism in Any server is NOT ALLOWED! Depending on the mood of the Admin that is present (if there is one) will decide if they give a warning then ban, warning then kick, just a warning, or just comepletely ignore. I, myself, am against racism. So if im in a pissy mood and you start racism, your prob getting a warning then a ban if you continue.

not a reason to be perm banned if you do it once, but I've banned people repeatedly who insist on saying nigger every other word.

oh no not perm banned... i mean like 100 minutes or w/e... lol i never perm ban unless i go through a SG/Bans Manager/Forums

Depends, how often did the accused say it?

Were there warning involved?

Who was the admin?

i hate racism i would temp ban on first offense

Let's put it this way...if you simply go in there and say "NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER", it's quite obvious you have no respect for others in the server and are an immature troller, I'd perm ban on first offense because it's almost a guarantee they will do it again.

i dont think it deserves a perm ban... yeah its not tolerated... but it really depends on the admin and their mood at the time.. i would have no problem giving them another chance if they appealed the ban... thats just my 2 cents

It depends on the admin. If they're zero tolerance (like most of our admins) then it's an instaban. The more lenient ones will probably kick and if you continue doing it, then it's a ban. Racist remarks is not tolerated here, though - no matter who you are.

I feel it needs to be said, because I see it going on unpunished a lot of the time.

The epithet "faggot" gets thrown out a lot as well, and on the rare occasions an admin is on when that happens, I usually do not see actions taken. Not to mention a lot of tongue-in-cheek sexist comments. I personally think adopting a blanket "No discrimination of any kind will be tolerated" policy gives room for admins with which to work. Really disruptive users can get punished while lesser nuisances can be looked past. I have had these policies instituted server & clan wide on a public server I ran and on a server on which I only had admin. We also set escalating punishment schedules for each offense:

1. amx_csay warning with the player's nick clearly shown
2. Kick
3. 5 minute ban
4. Permanent ban

We also had the server display that punishment list in the rules in the motd. Because these were global policies adhered to by all admins, the players figured it out pretty quickly when to stop screwing around (usually after the kick). However, at no time did my clan or myself give admin to donators, so that may make it confusing here.

yea just tell em to stfu with sayin niggy every other word, if they dont kick then ban for a day or two

I just warn, kick, then ban perm with the reminder to post an appeal. Depends of the admin is strict or laid back.

It's all about common sense and tact. Some have it, Most don't, few use `em both at the same time.

We could solve a lot of problems on the grand scale and the small scale if both users and admin's tried to empathize with each other in a situation.

Cooler heads will always prevail. Especially if the community is to succeed for years to come.
