The Bot Issue

I want to see where people generally stand on the bot issue. It's been discussed several times but to no conclusion.

I think we should reduce the number of bots to 3 per team if we have them at all. Bots are good for farming kills but other than that I believe they are hurting the server. Nobody wants to join a server that always has bots in it. Even on a good day when we have 10 people in the server, there will still be two bots at this rate. Bots see you invisible and camo'd, which ruins the whole point of BF2 imo.

I want to see this server revived and I play in it whenever I have time, bots or not - but most people won't do that. They obviously want to primarily have fun and will go play something else.


Reason for keeping just a few bots - people will join to farm bots, and then more people will follow them. I think bots in this server are a good idea, but there cannot be that many. Three per team would be enough in my opinion.

3 on each team is nice. they draw ppl into the server.

3 per team, <3 That way it reduces noob bot feed and its still playable with 1 REAL person in game.

keep all the bots lol whats wrong with them theyre already fully retarted gomer put them on basic shooting and slow reaction time isent that good enough

Thanks for speaking up Killer. I'd like whoever thinks having 6 bots in the server is a better idea to convince me that they're right. Tell me why.

But in response to Killer, the issue isn't that the bots are difficult to kill. It's that they are destroying the server population because nobody wants to play in a server filled with bots. Quality of bots is not the concern here, it's quantity.

lol why not play in a server full of defenceless bots that dont even know how to shoot a gun correctly? i dont think it ruins it at all its basically target pratice for everyone there dont u think

My main problem is that it ruins the game when there are ALWAYS bots in the servers. You can't hide with a knife and camoing is useless.

With 3 per server it wouldn't be an issue as often.

why would u need to hide from bots in the frist place? the only hacks i think the bots have is wall hacks the rest of it is plain dumbass stuff such as bad aim bad reaction time and what not

They have aimbots too, but it fails.

Deception is one of the main parts to BF2 mod. I'm not trying to kill bots I'm trying to kill humans, and I can do that by camo'ing and being invisible. Bots ruin the fun.

yea....it really ruins the one of the better parts of the game: stealth

I guess keep only 3 bots per team

maybe you guys can make it so you can vote the amount of bots? so that all players can be happy, democratically.

I mean that's kinda what we're doing here... but if you mean at each map then that's a bit crazy idk if we could do that or how it would work.

yeah thats what i mean, i dont know how it would work either. votes execute a command though right?

well this will make everyone happy Get rid of bots on certian maps and leave them on other maps
