Knifing Bug

When you use the perk Commando and knife someone, you receive no experience. Is this a bug or is it suppose to be like that?

It's supposed to be like that because you have double the knife distance and what not. Using commando you can knife someone from like 6 feet away.

Aka you trade nubly-pro knife skills in a perk for your xp.

Well, I have another Question. Why doesn't second prestige give you anything?

prestige 1 gives you new custom, then its like prestige 3 or 4 that gives you another thing i unno i dont prestige i get bored to quickly with out meh ak / awp lol

This knife bug is unintentional (I didn't know it wasn't giving XP), but I don't feel a need to change it. I agree, using the commando perk shouldn't really give you bonuses.

The prestige system in this mod is flawed... there is not enough I can reward players with. Honestly, it really isn't worth it if you are one of those, "I'll only do it if I gain something out of it." That being said, it is really only there for people who want a challenge and to start over again. When I get time this summer, I plan on shutting down the MW and bulking up the Battlefield mod, which in my opinion is wayyy better. Not only does Battlefield have many more features and optimizations, but I think it is more fun and balanced for newcomers. Battlefield will have a better prestige system, including 1-2 prestiges with carefully designed rewards to encourage players to do them. My goal in the Battlefield mod is to redo the MW mod, but not base it around MW anymore. MW is fun, but it's too hard to try new things when you name something and base it off of a game that is much more complex then anything done in Counter-Strike.

I do sort of agree with not getting xp for knifing with commando because you do have a greater advantage with the melee distance. I found the old CoD mod better than the one up now. I also find the Battlefield mod a little boring after a while. So is it possible to keep the CoD mod up while you work on the Battlefield mod?

That's why MW is still up, because BF isn't finished.

What makes BF boring? Why isn't MW as boring?

I'd ask you why you don't like this MW as much, but I think that is probably because the approach I tried to take. Sytreme's mod wasn't really CoD, it was just a mod that had a bunch of stuff that was vaguely related to it. This one that I made is a lot like CoD, and plays a lot like CoD, so I learned that you shouldn't try and make a game completely, because it confuses a lot of people.

I just couldn't stand playing battlefield mod for some reason. I guess it's the skins that doesn't make CoD mod boring.

In the old mod, I liked the killstreak system where you get points. This made average players able to get nukes.
