    I'm trying to learn guitar over the past week, failing pretty hard, but its all good. I got into guitar and inspired by a couple bands & my brother. The issue of why I'm posting here is; I need help. If there are any guitar players out there willing to help me, That outta be great.     This is the site that I used when I first started playing like 8 years ago. I've never taken a lesson, but I found a song that I wanted to learn, and googled it and found this tab website. I started off with "Man on the Moon" by R.E.M. so your first song is a little more adventurous than mine, haha. Good luck!!

    You should try playing an easier song first, Opeth songs are too complicated to remember if you are just beginning your path in music.

    Start with Knockin on Heaven's Door. It's my first song and actually ever time I pick up a guitar, my fingers naturally rest on G Major (the chord that starts that song) its pretty funny.

    The only song i learned, and i only learned the intro is "Under the bridge" by red hot chilly peppers. Not that it is easy or anything it's actually pretty hard. Everything else i play is by ear and what not.


    What kind of guitar are you using?? electric? acoustic? and if acoustic is it nylon or steel string?

    As for beginner songs, some pretty good ones have already been recommended I see, if you really wanna go easy, Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's Razz.

    Hey there Delilah is very simple if you already know basic chords, dude go with "Wonderwall" by Oasis. You barely move your fingers, everyone knows the words, and girls love it. BAM.

    Electric, straight up! I'll try my best peoples, How to finger pick, Hmmm. (I don't know how to multi-quote but yah...) I'm scared to listen to that video Dave, It might scare me away, =p. Not a risk taker here. lol.
