    This was one of the best maps in BF2 mostly because it attracts people to the server like no other map can.

    The only concern is whether or not it's too small, but 16 v 16 bouts in BF2 have proven otherwise, at least for me. Does anyone think this map is too small for CoD?

    Personally, CoD is atleast 6v6 all the time, thats fine for fy_Snow, but the constant spawnkills/ONE AIRSTRIKE will pretty much cover the entire map. I just worry about spawnkilling/getting wrecked every 3 seconds due to being too crammed when iuts 12v12

    CoD has more than enough players to make that map entirely too small. As lolwut says, one air stike could be enough to wipe out an entire team. Secondly, the map was removed by dave a while back, (I remember reading it somewhere in the trash) about it being too small and the airstrikes and stuff were instance and everyone thought so as well. For that reason I don't want to add snow. It's not 6 v 6 because once bots are in there it will be at least 3 v 3 + players. And usually once ONE person joins CoD it fills up pretty fast. 16 / 16+ on snow is just ridiculous.

    And just say hypothetically, against all odds, it didn't fill up... So the server HAS people in it (or is full even), and the switches to snow. Then we have 16 / 16+ again and its too ridiculous, people leave, bitch, etc.


    Another point: Where would you put flags? One in each "Spawn" of c and t behind the wall, the third? The middle? Gl capping ANY of those flags with the server being at least 8/8, let alone more. And that's just domination.

    Let's talk about TDM. Say the server has at least 10+ people the spawn killing would be ridiculous. There are no safe spawns. Not to go back into it again but air strikes, nades, etc would just be that much of a bigger problem with spawn killing.


    There's about a billion reasons why we don't need / want snow on CoD. Those are just a few.

    nades were never a problem in bf2, and neither were flags. If need be you can make it perm domination. Airstrikes and predator missles definitely concern me perhaps I haven't given them enough consideration.

    I'm cool with another popular, larger fy_ map. Repub is great and it filled up very quickly. Another popular map in bf2 was westwood, how about that?

    fy_snow is too small, for over 10 people every1's just gonna spawn kill or just camp in corners while some1 runs out and get shot in the ass

    I remember trying to cap middle flag in fy_snow. It was near impossible, and at the same time the most fun i had trying to cap a flag. Some of the maps squareknot20 linked us to look very well made in terms of graphics, now in terms of layout and size i can't say.

    Also, I looked at those latest maps you posted and the only one that would really work is the fy_snow2011 but it's kinda imbalanced. I.E.- the only two high up snipe / cover spots in the map can only be reached from the terrorist side. As in, you can only get to the upper "sections" of the map from one side of the map. (which both of those spots cover the entrance to said spots) so I duno. I'll study it some more.

    the sin_tunnels looked cool till I got on it. Just 2 8's on top of each other in low light. And some of the floor is grateing so you can shoot though it. Not to mention air strikes / nades hit though floors / walls / ceilings and that map is small enough literally 1 air strike could easily wipe out 7/8 of a team. Not to mention it was too small anyways. Too bad, it looked really cool Smile

    As for the others, I didn't really find any interest in them.


    However, I do look forward to the other versions of the maps you posted previously. For cs 1.6.

    old links i had no longer exist for those maps, the version i have dl'ed of highrise is corrupted somehow.. crap. ill keep an eye out for bigger fy maps..
